HC, HCFC, HFC and HFO — the refrigerant classes we supply, each with its own handling profile.
HC
Hydrocarbon refrigerants, supplied for commercial and industrial use.
HCFC
HCFCs have historically been used mainly as refrigerants and cooling gases, especially as replacements for older CFC refrigerants.
HFC
Hydrofluorocarbons (HFC) are man-made organic compounds that contain fluorine and hydrogen atoms, and are the most common type of organofluorine compounds. Most are gases at room temperature and pressure.
HFO
HFO refrigerants are categorized as having zero ozone depletion potential (ODP) and low global warming potential (GWP) and so offer a more environmentally friendly alternative to CFC, HCFC, and HFC refrigerants.

What our laboratory tests for
Certified to AHRI Standard 700-2019, Specification for Refrigerants — administered and governed by AHRI, so the prescribed test method is performed accurately on any refrigerant.
Certified ratings

- High boiling residue% by volume or % by weight
- Air and other non-condensables% by volume
- All other volatile impurities% by weight
Analysis is completed before recovery — so good refrigerant can be consolidated and reused, rather than destroyed or vented.
