It’s widely understood that numerous fluorocarbons refrigerant gases triggers ozone depletion and global warming when it’s emitted to the atmosphere. The Montreal and Kyoto Protocol called for countries around the world to help the environment by phasing out the harmful refrigerants, and replacing them with next-generation fluorocarbon and natural refrigerants.

The Kigali Amendment to the Montreal Protocol is an international agreement to gradually reduce the consumption and production of hydrofluorocarbons (HFCs) which contribute to global warming. Many companies have put in various measures in place in order to help in reduction of refrigerant carbon footprint.
